If you’re like me you really like to make unusual fashion statements. I can’t think of a better way to do that than with funky crochet hat patterns. Crochet hats are quick projects to make and can be fairly easy, even for the beginner. You can learn how to make them without too much effort and once you get the hang of it, you can make them funky by adding embellishments or using unusual yarns.
Since I’m all about the funky crochet hats I really liked the new patterns by Leisure Arts in one of their latest crochet books: “Crochet Celebrity Slouchy Beanies For The Family.” These far out designs are made by Lisa Gentry who is a funky lady herself, being the fastest crocheter in the world and all. And then, this was so creative, she made these designs to look like the kind of beanie hats celebrities wear when they are trying to not be noticed. All the great photos in this book are made to look like the folks are hiding behind huge sunglasses and you guessed it, funky crochet hats. The patterns in this book total 7, 5 for adults and 2 for kids, which is really fun.
If you have been thinking about tackling a new crochet project, and you think trying some new crochet hats fit the bill, you should check out this new crochet book. I’ve included some of the great photos below.
